The 50th Annual Grammy Awards...



Tonight marked the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, well the actual awards ceremony started in the middle of the day with over 100 awards being handed out before the telecast, nonetheless it was certainly an exciting event. Kanye West, who is the leader in this years field of nominations, was nominated for eight Grammy Awards and took home three during the earlier telecast.

Ms. Amy Winehouse also won for best pop vocal album for "Back to Black." Justin Timberlake won best dance recording for "Lovestoned/I Think She Knows," alongside producers Nate (Danja) Hills and Timbaland and mixer Jimmy Douglass.

Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse's producer, won the Producer of The Year Nomination in the non-classical field, for his work on "Back to Black," "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good," "Littelest Things" by Lily Allen and his own "Version". Heres what he had to say about his accomplishment:

"I came here when I was 10 years old as a seat-filler!" he exclaimed upon his win. "I really can't believe this. It's surreal, bizarre."

Urban/Alternative Performance: "DayDreamin'", Lupe Fiasco Featuring Jill Scott.

Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals: "Makes Me Wonder," Maroon 5.

Traditional Pop Vocal Album: "Call Me Irresponsible," Michael Buble.

Solo Rock Vocal Performance: "Radio Nowhere," Bruce Springsteen.

Rap Song: "Good Life," Aldrin Davis, Mike Dean, Faheem Najm & Kanye West, songwriters (J. Ingram & Q. Jones, songwriters) (Kanye West Featuring T-Pain)

Rap Performance by a Duo or Group: "Southside," Common, featuring Kanye West

Rap Solo Performance: "Stronger," Kanye West (All three accepted by Mr. West during the pre-telecast.)

Song of the Year: "Rehab," Amy Winehouse (Amy Winehouse).

Yes Mr. Nasir Jones's shirt is bananas!
