Video: Roots Behind The Scene Of Late Night...

Well as you all now know, Hip-Hop's most touring band The Legendary Roots Crew will be playing live band for Jimmy Fallon on his new gig for the Late Night Show usurped from Conan O' Brian.

This is actually very beneficial for the band seeing as now they can find a home, giving them more time to work on albums and other musical endeavors. We've heard stories about the Band's drummer Questlove purchasing a house over three years ago, only to not be able to fully move into it due to the Band's heavy touring schedule.

Jimmy Fallon won with this one.

Recently Scheme Mag had an interview with Roots Crew member ?uestlove:

" Scheme: Do you think that because you’re in the hip-hop genre, people are more closed-minded about where you take your music?
Questlove: Oh yeah. People have low expectations for hip-hop and hip-hoppers. That’s why they look at as us being pretentious. Why do I have to be the only person that explains why I name my albums after book titles? I understand that sometimes people need things spoon fed to them, but I have a low tolerance for ignorance."

Pretty interesting read from Washington DC based Scheme Magazine.

The Roots Crew were in town the other day to shoot the video for their song "Rising Up" off of their latest effort Rising Down. The video will be directed by the most popular director now adays Rik Cordero and feature Wale as well as a very, very glamorous looking Chrisette Michele . We can't wait! We'll have it for you when it's completed.

Here is how group drummer ?love explained the artwork:

"This drawing is entitled NEGRO RULE. and it pretty much sums up the feeling of the Confederate Union towards the newly freed slaves and the idea that if given power they would reek havoc and chaos on the country."
