Video: Jiggaman For The Win(frey)...

Interestingly enough we aren't too excited about this interview based on this clip. From the looks of things O Winfrey is gonna waste this interview on asking ol' Hovy questions that we've known for years +.

We don't know whether she's telling the non-familiar community that Jay-Z has "arrived" or she's just doing this for archival purposes. either way...we'll tune in.

Video: Jay-Z Isn't Shy To Tell The Chi Why...

...He's Hip-Hop's "dude".

Did you catch all the double entendres there? Man, Jay-Z has to be the best commercially at that feat.

Video:The Land Of The Free, The Hov Of The Brave...

So this mans work ethic is that of someone half his age. Look at Jay trying to keeping up with the young boys who release their saturated content on all these internet blogs...

Like ours, Ha!

A little self humor is good for the soul.

We'll keep you posted on the development of Mr. Carter's progress with his post BP3 music projects.

Do You Think Jay Is The "Tallest" In The Game???...

Young Hov covers Ol' XXL Magazine for their inaugural Fall issue.

Jay gives a little insight as to what he think about this claim:

" 'But when I say I’m the best, I don’t say that outta my ass. I say that with all my stats behind me. I put that against anybody. I mean anybody. I really believe that… I believe in a lot of things.
I believe that ‘SportsCenter’ is the best thing on TV. I shouldn’t have to prove it. But I do have these stats to prove it. I’m talking about real run. I’m not talking about years off. I’m talking about straight—boom, boom, boom—back to back. We’re not talking about heritage acts either. We’re not talking about respect what I’ve done. I’m talking No. 1 [albums] 10 times. The Beatles is the only one [to have more
No. 1 albums]. They got 19, and if I get a surge of creativity, I could make nine albums next year.' "

Video: Jay-Z's Thinking "Now We're Gonna F*ck You Up"...

While traversing the cobbled streets of Croatia, Jay-Z and B get cornered by some snap happy paparazzi.

You can hear Hov say "If he hits you with his camera fuck him up" Then his bodyguard attempts to do just that.

It's the Roc.

Video: Jay-Z Feat. Kanye West & Rihanna - Run This Town...

This video leaked because honestly it HAD to be released wherever it is a day ahead of where you currently are. Got it?

This dark and subtle undertone of rebelling and claiming the throne to his independence as a stand alone hip-hop mogul is definitely one to watch.

Even Rihanna throws the Roc sign with loyalty and fervor.

* Kanye's verse > Jay. If and What do you think?

Video: Jay-Z Feat. Kanye West & Rihanna - Run This Town [Behind The Scenes]...

Director Anthony Mandler describes the video as rebellious:

" 'I wanted something that didn’t fit into ‘this is New York, this is a building or a street [you know],’ ” he explained to MTV News. “I wanted it to feel more ancient. I wanted it to feel more European but on American soil. I didn’t want it to have a framework, like, ‘Oh, we’re riding in New York.’ "

Run this town officially gives us a sense of what post American Gangster Jay is trying to do with his aesthetic.

Previous Post: Jay-Z Reveals Blueprint 3 Artwork + Tracklist...

Here Hov explains the BP3 Album Artwork:

" “These things are like the forgotten pieces in hip-hop,” Hov explained. “It’s still about music. It’s not about radio, making gimmicks — it’s still about making music. Those things are piled in the corner. These are the forgotten things about music. It’s still about music. It’s not about radio, it’s not about making gimmicks, it’s about music. The three stripes that everybody is asking about is made from the original [number] three. The first three they made on the wall was someone carving. If you look at [the number] 3, all they did was connect lines. The whole thing about this album, how I approached it, is that I wanted to make a new classic to start that all over again — to go back to making classic albums like the ones we grew up listening to.” "

Jay-Z reveals Blueprint Three Cover + Tracklist...

Ok, ok...so as you all have probably heard Jay's Blueprint 3 is dropping this Sept. on the bornday of his last masterpiece (arguably). Here is the supposed track listing:

1. What We Talking About (Produced by Kanye West)
2. D.O.A. (Produced by No I.D.)
3. Weigh Me Down Feat. Kid Cudi (Produced by Kanye West)
4. Unforgiven (Produced by Kanye West, Additional Production: MGMT)
5. Run This Town Feat. Rihanna & Kanye West (Produced by Kanye West)
6. Empire State Of Mind Feat. Nas (Produced by Kanye West & No I.D.)
7. When It Comes To This (Produced by Timbaland)
8. Always Feat. Drake (Produced by Kanye West)
9. Scenes From The Past (Produced by No I.D., Co-produced by Kanye West)
10. Everyday A Star Is Born Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)
11. Already Home (Produced by Kanye West)
12. Forever Young Feat. Mr. Hudson (Produced by Kanye West)
13. Thank You (Produced by No I.D.)

*Empire State Of Mind..... featuring Nasir??? That has to live up to a lot. The whole project seems that its more or less completely produced and worked by Mr. West, that is a huge plus...however we know in our hearts that Jay has said many times in the past that there are a bevy of producers that he wishes to work with before he "gracefully bows out". With that said we wonder what direction he will take upon his next effort.

Stay tuned.

New Music: Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)...

Listen /Download Here. Jay-Z - Death Of Autotune (Prod. By NO ID & Kanye West)

Oh Ok. We see what you've done here Mr. Carter. With the Blueprint 3 rearing its once mythical and behemoth head it's only right that Hov came up with a great tactic.

Here's (in our honest opinion) what it is:

To start a beef to generate interest. However since Shawn is smarter than your average, he isn't going to start a direct beef with an artist..no. He starts a beef with a trend. You see what he's done there? Possibly one of the biggest recent successes with the aforementioned victim (autotune) is Kanye West a.k.a "Kid Brother's" effort 808's & Heartbreak. So him co-producing the track for ol' Hovy is a sign of no shots fired/co-signing right?

ALSO, we like the way he infused Wale's "Na na hey hey" into this record. Obviously DJ's will have no hard time getting Hov into the clubs due to the fact that they can mix this easily in. Hov you sneaky bastard!

Hov, you've done it again. Props!

Bonus:

Jay-Z - Rebirth Of Autotune (Prod. by Cookin' Soul)

Funny, thought we should mention.

Bonus Pt. 2: The night New York went apeshit

Video: Jay-Z - My President Is Black In Arizona (Live)...

Mr. Carter performed for the good people in AZ this week. He did his rendition of Young Jizzo's "My President is Black" and changed the "DC" shout to "AZ" to give the dead ass crowd something to relate too.

Guess they were still tight that Obama won and just wanted Jay to do "Big Pimpin".

*Shrugs Shoulders*

Alternate Clip:

Performs "Jigga What", "H to the Izzo", "Can I Get A", and "Beware Of The Boys".

We wonder if Amil gets a percentage for the performed songs on which her vocals are featured?

*Update: No.

Video: 60 Seconds-"Blueprint 3 Will Be a Full Fledged Classic"...

" Legendary Chicago producer NOID talks about being the Mel-Man to Kanye's Dre and explains why Blueprint 3 will be a, "Full Fledged Classic". "It's like 808s and Heartbreaks but more Hip-Hop", in this latest episode of 60 seconds. "

Hold on, this is going to be a long, interesting ride.

Gear: Oh Em Gee Top Three Emcee On A Tee...

Clothing Brand Staple has once again reassured you who ther greats among us are in the Hip-Hop realm.

These graphic tees feature a "highlighter" neon-esque color to accentuate the features of the G.O.A.T's on the tees facade. They also offer reminiscent shots of the rap phenomenons in their hey days.

Dope! We NEED that NaS one in the Yankees apparel.

These videos are being taken down faster than you can imagine. Just in case you missed it though.

Grammy Swagger On A Hundred Thousand Trillion...

..With no bailout in sight.

T.I, Mr. West and Shawn Corey performed what you'd expect Swagger Like Us to look/sound like with full tuxedos in tow. We don't need to say much else because these pictures speak 1,000 bars.

Polka dots is popping in preggo '09?

Spectacular.Yes.
